Ameren Equipment Issue Interrupts Power to 600 Southwestern Members
Friday, July 5, 2019

7:10 a.m.

An Ameren equipment failure this morning resulted in 600 Southwestern Electric members losing power shortly before 6 a.m. The outage is affecting Bond County members from I-70 south to Keyesport Road, and from Millersburg Road east to Mulberry Grove Road.

The equipment failure, which involved fuses at an Ameren substation, interrupted power to Southwestern Electric Cooperative’s Hookdale Substation, northwest of Carlyle Lake. Ameren and Southwestern crews are working to identify the source of the problem.
