A note from Southwestern CEO Bobby Williams
I hope this message finds everyone healthy and doing well. As of this morning, the State of Illinois has entered into Phase 3 of the governor’s Restore Illinois plan. Phase 3 moves us one step closer to where we were prior to COVID-19.
Just as the state is moving toward returning to the previous norm, so is Southwestern.
Starting next week, Southwestern employees will begin moving back to the office. We have processes in place to help us maintain social distancing, reduce the potential for COVID-19 transmission, and ensure business continuity.
As the state continues to follow Restore Illinois, so shall Southwestern Electric. Whenever the state moves into Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan, we’ll look at opening our offices to the public. Until that time, our lobbies and drive-up windows will remain closed.
During this transition, our employees will continue to answer your calls, respond to your questions, and repair outages quickly and safely, just as they always do.
Until our lobbies open, we encourage you to manage your accounts, report outages and make payments using the co-op’s online payment portal, by using the SWEC IL app, or by calling the cooperative at 1 (800) 637-8667.
Stay healthy and stay safe.
