SWECI planning Members in Action town hall-style meetings

A Southwestern Electric director speaks with members at a past Annual Meeting.

Southwestern Electric is planning to hold six Members in Action town hall-style meetings across its service area in the coming weeks to educate members on electric demand, how it affects your bill, ways to manage your energy use and tools to help you save money.

The cooperative will hold two sessions at three separate locations during the month of August. The times and locations of the meetings were chosen strategically to give members the best chance of attending at least one of the sessions.

Members who attend any of the six meetings will receive a $10 bill credit on an upcoming bill and will be entered into a drawing for one $500 bill credit grand prize. Attending multiple meetings will not earn you additional bill credits or entries into the grand prize drawing.

The meeting dates and locations are as follows:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 4 at the Southwestern Electric Cooperative headquarters, 525 US Route 40 in Greenville
  • Tuesday, Aug. 11 at the Carriage House Event Center, 8 West Carriage Lane in Altamont
  • Tuesday, Aug. 18 at the Gateway Convention Center, 1 Gateway Drive in Collinsville

Each date will have two distinct sessions, one from 8-9 a.m. and another from 7-8 p.m. Free coffee and donuts will be provided for the morning sessions, and free cookies, chips and water will be provided for the evening sessions.
